It is my pleasure to present Eagle Scout Cameron Thomas. At 56 merit badges he will also receive 7 eagle palms. He has been our Assitant Senior Patrol Leader and is going to Cherry Valley this weekend to be on Camp Staff for this Summer.
Troop 4 is doing Fitness in April and promoting Organ Donor awareness. In conjunction with Donate Life America. https://www.donatelife.net/
Scouts are trying to get friends or family to register to become organ donors. More than 100,000 people are waiting for a lifesaving transplant.
We started with a presentation by ASM John Heinsen and on Monday had a guest speaker Phil Shin – Marathon runner, cancer survivor and organ recipient. Everyone learned a lot thanks to the arrangements by Troop Committee Chairperson Greg Braun. Here is a picture from our zoom meeting. Links below for more of Phil’s amazing story.
Today, Evan Umland passed his Board of Review and became another Troop 4 Eagle Scout.

This Annual event where celebrate the Anniversary of Boy Scouts and also acknowledge and thank Westminster Presbyterian Church for it’s 107 years of support for our Troop! We had several scouts participated in the service. Liam Carrig Braun, Saverio Fennell-Molinaro, Adrian Villaneda, Ben Jennings, Riley Paddock, Fletcher Paddock and Jake Neely. Other Scouts were ushers and greeters.
Josh Cunningham has completed a 2 part Eagle Project to create a new campsite at Henninger Flats. It involved fabricating a picnic table, bench, and food prep table. In November, He led scouts in the church parking lot finishing the assembly and weatherproofing all of the wood. Then in January, He installed the parts into cement footings and also installed a barbecue stove. In addition to this they leveled tent areas and drainage for the new water faucet. Finally to top it all off they Scouts earned the Fire Safety merit badge!
