Union Station Homeless Services tent set up

Thanks to all Scouts and adults who turned up on a beautiful Thanksgiving morning to set up the tents used as the “kitchen” to serve hot Thanksgiving meals to those without homes or reliable food access.  It was a challenge to wrangle incomplete and mixed tent kits without matching instructions, but with determination and ingenuity, the job was done!

A great weekend of service!

Thanks to all the Scouts and Scouters that served the community this past weekend.

The weekend started Friday evening with T4 Scouts delivering our collected bags of food to the Altadena Food Bank. The Troop had worked with Westminster church for many weeks collecting the food (thanks to all the generous T4 contributors!) for delivery prior to Thanksgiving. Friday evening T4 loaded bags of food into parent’s cars, and then delivered it to the Food Bank. The hardworking Scouts are pictured below.

On Saturday Jose Amezcua had his Eagle project at Westminster. He and his crew repaired the badly damaged sidewalk (a real safety hazard) on the Lake Ave. side of the church. Jose had spent several months planing the project. T4 Scouts and Scouters again turned out to serve the community, and the results were spectacular. Great job Jose and crew!

Double Eagles!

Congratulations to Landon Rich and Nathan Cordero for achieving Eagle Scout rank on Tuesday, November 13, 2018.  Both young men, their families, and Troop 4 can be proud of their years of work, sacrifice, and FUN! Landon and Nathan will be better men for it their whole lives, and they join a long list of Troop 4 Eagle Scouts.
