A hardy group of 21 scouts and ASM’s paddled the mighty Colorado River 17 miles though the scenic Topock Gorge during a February 2013 outing led by Scoutmaster Rod Scott. “It was awesome” summed up one new Scout during a fireside talk that evening about the experience. Other Scouts commented on the natural beauty of the gorge, the experience of paddling and the fun of playing tag at night near the campsite.
