Troop 4 raised nearly $6,400.00 for Friends of Scouting to support San Gabriel Valley Council activities in 2013, over double the goal of $3000.  This is just the latest success for Troops 4’s fundraising efforts. With the help of over 20% of our families along with the participation of most of our scouts, T4 Friends of Scouting co-chairs Matt Gerlach and John White have successfully raised over $10,000.00 to support local scouting during the past two years. This was also the second year in a row that the Rose Bowl District met its annual fundraising goal. The council estimates it costs $150 per Scout in the district to run the programs, keep three camps up-and-running (Trask, Cherry Valley and Holcomb Valley) while conducting many other activities that those involved with Scouting have come to expect.
